She had just returned from an extended trip to the United States. In discussing the infrastructure in China, she joked at how shocked she was with the state of infrastructure in the U.S. and she would now request hardship pay from the company is she was posted from China to the U.S. After years in Asia, I quake in my boots when having to cope with the U.S. domestic air transportation system (customs, no drinks/food on flights, baggage)!
